(1) Hey Alice, I know EXACTLY what you're talking about. I'm a high school student who believes in abstinence and I always feel like I'm the only one who hasn't done "it" or won't do "it" until I'm married. My reasons have to do with my very strong faith in God. As a traditional Roman Catholic, I believe that it is wrong to have pre-marital sex. However, it is hard to feel like a normal teenager, when everyone around me seems to be having sex. Stick to your guns! There are so many people out there having sex just because it seems that "everyone else is doing it." If you don't want to do it, don't. I've never had sex, and neither have my college attending sister and brother. See, you have three people who support your virginity fully.
[back to top] I was 21 years old and nearly finished my third year of college before I ever had sex. While many of my friends had lost their virginity before me, there were a fair amount of others who still had the good ol' v card. It's not something that happens at a "normal" age for anyone. It totally depends on you, when you're ready, and trusting your partner!
