Your clitoris can remain engorged and erect for a very long time, although this is not common. There could be several causes, one being that you are still very aroused as you did not orgasm. However, some women find themselves in this state quite often as I do. My clitoris is aroused and erect most of the time and I have learned to enjoy it.
