Dear Alice,
When I was first married back in 1995, I was depressed, and stressed out. I was put on Prozac 20 mg once daily to deal with my emotional problems. I gained A LOT of weight during that course. I was seeing a Psychiatrist for treatment, but what I really needed was a DIVORCE! I took myself off of Prozac, which was the WRONG thing to do because I had emotional ups and downs and mood swings that I couldn't control. My weight has never been the same since then, either. As years have gone by, my emotional stability still is a little rocky, but I deal with it in a more constructive way by concentrating on the things I enjoy. To the one who is taking Prozac, please ask yourself if it is really necessary, or do you just need a change of lifestyle, and environment, including the people who surround you?
