(1) Dear Alice, Sometimes Lying is a smoke screen to hide what you perceive as a person people might not like. The real truth is the real person might be someone great, but you have hidden him or her away under a bushel basket. Start peeling away the deception and get to know yourself. You will more than likely to discover a person who is a great asset to the world and himself.
[back to top] This article is helping me with my problem. I lie about everything. When I say "everything," I mean everything. Little stuff, big stuff, random things, it matters not. There is a lie for everything. I think I'm also coming to the actuality of why I lie. I'm afraid of who I am. I'm afraid of how I act. I'm afraid of letting those down that I care about. I know reading an article is not going to fix my problem. With everything in life it takes work. This is also another reason why I lie. I'm afraid to put effort into anything I do. It is much easier to lie about something than actually doing it. Thank you for this article. It is going to be printed and carried in my pocket until I can truly say I don't need to lie anymore.
