Dear Alice,
I want to get trained in CPR and First Aid before the end of June...where is the closest place I can do so? Dear Reader, In an emergency, having someone around who can assess the situation, call for help, and perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and/or first aid when necessary is often crucial. Alice commends you for wanting to gain the important knowledge to be that person. To find out where you can take a CPR class, call your local hospital or the nearest chapter of the American Red Cross or American Heart Association. The telephone numbers can be found in your local phone book. Or, you can contact the national offices for information about your local affiliate:
