What Are Blunts?

Dear Alice,

What are blunts?

Dear Reader,

"Blunts" are cigars with most, or all, of their tobacco removed from the center, and replaced with other drugs -- usually marijuana. Sometimes, cocaine, angel dust, and/or heroin, among other powerful substances, are added to blunts to "boost the high." But, because cocaine is a stimulant, and heroin has a depressant effect, wrapping up different drugs into one package does not always produce the desired effect. And, because blunts conceal their contents, users may not always know the quantity and content of what they're smoking. Fronto leaves (tobacco leaves sold legally in Jamaica) are also used to roll weed and drug combinations.
