Dear Alice,

I suffer from anorexia nervosa and would like to know if there are any support groups on the Internet.

Dear Reader,

It's great to hear that you're interested in reaching out for some assistance with your eating disorder, if you haven't already. On-line support resources can be useful, beneficial, and a part of your recovery and healing process.

To help start you off, below is a short list of some on- and off-line eating disorder resources. Most of the noteworthy websites are comprehensive, providing not only general information about eating disorders, but also information for getting help, for friends and family, and links to on-line support resources, including other websites, newsgroups, and e-mail discussion groups. Some of the resources will give you the opportunity to interact directly or indirectly with others who have eating disorders as well. These resources could help you understand and cope with your eating disorder, and eventually get well.
