(1) To the reader: I hope you figure this out. You definitely want to tell him before sex. If you have sex you want it to be with someone you love and that loves you back. If he leaves you after you tell him then he is not someone you want to/can share your body with. Not to say it wont be difficult for him at first. Sex is scary on its own. You will feel vulnerable like you do now anyway. To make sure you're happy with your decision you need to trust him. But he has to earn that trust too. You're not unlovable and if he is not the one there is someone out there that is. There are also friends out there that will take you as you are. Best of luck to you. I hope everything works out. :)
[back to top] Don't be ashamed. You don't have to tell anyone, but I think you can't really know who your friends are until you tell them. If they get upset, why are they you're friends? They should be compassionate and understanding!! They may stay back for awhile, but your real friends will come back.
