Alice, Do all of your questions get answered? If so, how long does it take for them to be posted? I have asked three questions and have not seen a response yet. —Curious
Dear Curious, Although there are many great questions asked, it's simply not possible to answer each and every one of them. Amazingly, over 1,000 questions a week are received, and five new ones are carefully researched and answered each Friday. Because of the level of research that goes into answering a question, it can take several days, weeks, or even months to create a response. It might be useful for you to read the About Go Ask Alice! web page to get more information about Go Ask Alice! and how the service works. Even more details can be found on the New to Go Ask Alice! page. Another way to maximize your use of Go Ask Alice! includes browsing the Go Ask Alice! archives to see if a similar question to yours has already been answered. Finally, an efficient way to find what you are looking for is to use the search feature to find specific topics of interest. Just for the record, any question that asks for a diagnosis is not answered, as Go Ask Alice! is a health information service that does not diagnose over the computer. If you have a question about a medical condition, it's best that you seek out a health care provider in your area right away to get more immediate answers to your own health questions. Columbia students can call x4-2284 or log on to Open Communicator to make an appointment at Primary Care Medical Services, or call x4-2878 for an appointment with Counseling and Psychological Services. Thanks for visiting Go Ask Alice! and keep those questions coming!
