Alice, I would like to know the reasons for excess facial hair. Are there any solutions for it ? How safe is electrolysis? --Tales of Hair
Dear Tales of Hair, It's not clear to Alice whether you are a man or a woman. If you are a man, please read "Control body hair?" If you are a woman, it really depends on how much excess hair you have, and how you feel about it being there. If it's solely on the upper lip and chin, you might want to think about bleaching (Jolene bleach works well). Waxing is also a possibility. Electrolysis is safe if you have a good, sanitary electrolysist. If your excess hair is more than some dark hairs on your face, you should make an appointment with a nurse practitioner in Primary Care Medical Services, as it could be a sign of an endocrine imbalance. They can give you a medical work-up, and if there are no problems, make some accessible suggestions for getting rid of your unwanted hair. Call x4-2284 for an appointment.
