You said you are both virgins. Then you will definitely want to use a condom... otherwise he will probably climax right away and leave you in the dust (which will be embarrassing for the both of you!).

Some people whine that putting on a condom slows things up and takes away from the romance, but it literally only takes a few seconds and does not usually kill the mood.
